‘Jazz-punk’ detective game Don’t Forget Me launches April 20

    Game News

At the Future Games Festival on Friday, The Moon Pirates announced a release date for its upcoming “jazz-punk mind-manipulation adventure game” detective adventure game, Don’t Forget Me. It comes to Windows, Mac, and Linux on April 20.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Her Story and Red Strings Club, Don’t Forget Me tells the story of Fran, an amnesiac who shows up on the doorstep of a memory manipulation clinic. Getting taken in by the kind Bernard—one of the world’s foremost memory experts—and learning his trade might just be the secret to uncovering her own forgotten memories as she delves into those of her patients.

Don’t Forget Me combines classic adventure gameplay and narrative decision-making with an intricate text-based puzzle system designed to test players observation and deduction skills. For streamers, Don’t Forget Me also has an element of Twitch integration to let viewers vote on decisions and help in navigating the mental labyrinths of each new patient.

Key features, from its Steam listing:

    • A unique vision of the future set to an original jazz and synthwave score.
    • Unique text based puzzle system, where observation and empathy are as important as logic and reason.
    • Decision based gameplay that will test the limits of your morality.
    • Twitch integration so your viewers can play along with you.

Don’t Forget Me is the debut game from The Moon Pirates, an indie studio based on Bordeaux, France. It’s been in development for a number of years, with support from WINGS Interactive, a game development fund created to invest in indie games developed by women and diverse teams.

Don’t Forget Me is coming to Steam and GOG for Windows, Mac, and Linux on April 20. If you like the look of it, show the developers your support by adding it to your Steam wishlist!
