Haruka Mishima’s life changes forever when she inherits a book store from her late grandmother—not just any bookstore, but an erotic bookstore in the heart of her hometown’s red light district. And with this newfound career comes a chance to mix and mingle with all the sexy, cute, quirky women who frequent the shop.
That’s the premise behind Love Bakudan, an 18+ yuri visual novel being created by Noodletub Games, which is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter. With 20 days left in the campaign, Love Bakudan is a little over halfway to its CA$5,500 goal.
Love Bakudan is described as “an erotic comedy/drama visual novel about girls falling in love and on top of each other .” As Haruka, players will have the opportunity to get to know three main love interests—and possibly more, if stretch goals get achieved—as well as read some of the books that Haruka sells.
Noodletub is a two-person studio who released The Ghost of You, a yuri horror text adventure, in 2018. For Love Bakudan, they’re working with artist kane, whose vibrant character designs strike a fine balance between cute, charming, and sexy.
Love Bakudan is planned to release around September this year. Pledging CA$15 or more will get you a digital copy of the game when it’s available, with higher pledge tiers including things like digital 4-panel comics, a “Digital Personalized Thank You From A Hot Babe”, and the chance to create the smutty premise for one of the books that Haruka sells.
Love Bakudan looks like a funny, cute, sexy time. I know I’ll be throwing some money its way and looking forward to playing it later this year.
