Cyberpunk 2077 gets a new gameplay trailer and Keanu Reeves spotlight

    Game News

With the fifth and final episode of Night City Wire, CD Projekt Red has released a handful of new videos for Cyberpunk 2077, including a new gameplay trailer, a spotlight on Keanu Reeves’ character Johnny Silverhand, and some behind-the-scenes footage.

Here’s Night City Wire – Episode 5 in full, if you want to see everything that it had to show off:

The new gameplay trailer “highlights an assortment of aspects of the open world, action-adventure story players will be engaging in upon launch, complimented with never-before-scene footage showcasing the experiences awaiting in the dark future”:

Johnny Silverhand’s trailer sheds more light on “Night City’s iconic rebel rockerboy” and the relationship he has with Cyberpunk 2077‘s protagonist, V. The Night City Wire video (above) also has some footage of Keanu Reeves’ motion capture and voice recording sessions, at around the 3:30 minute mark.

“Behind the Scenes: Score and Soundtrack” offers… well, a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the score and soundtrack for Cyberpunk 2077, with Marcin Przybyłowicz, P.T. Adamczyk, Paul Leonard-Morgan, and collaborating musicians:

And finally, “Behind the Scenes: JALI” looks at at the tech that Cyberpunk 2077 uses for facial expressions and lip sync, and how this was used to help retain a level of realism across 11 different languages the game is being localised into:

Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on 10 December 2020. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch, with dedicated PS5 and X|S versions to follow at a later date (with a free upgrade path from previous-gen versions).
