At the Lucca Comics and Games 2018 festival this past weekend, Square Enix unveiled a new Kingdom Hearts 3 Tangled-themed trailer, introducing the Kingdom of Corona world. It looks like Sora and co will meet Rapunzel around the time she’s escaping her tower with Flynn Rider, where the appearance of Heartless add to the princess’ growing bundle of problems.
You’ll get to see some of Rapunzel’s and Flynn’s combat moves, including the trusty frying pan. There’s also what looks to be some sort of special move based on that memorable shot of Rapunzel swinging around a tree by her hair. That shot has also been recreated for Kingdom Hearts 3, along with a handful others from the film, and they’re a near perfect match for the source material.
Listen closely, and you’ll also hear the voice of Zachary Levi, who’s reprising his role as Flynn for the game. Donna Murphy is also confirmed to be returning as the voice of Mother Gothel. Sadly, it doesn’t sound like Mandy Moore will be playing Rapunzel this time around, despite voicing Aerith in the first Kingdom Hearts. She was noticeably absent from a previous announcement of the voice cast for the Tangled and Frozen worlds, and the Rapunzel in this new trailer certainly doesn’t sound like her.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is due out on January 29, 2019, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
